Representatives August Pfluger and Josh Gottheimer have introduced the Keep It Moving Act, a bipartisan bill intended to accelerate the Federal Communications Commission license review process. The legislation seeks to establish strict timelines for application reviews and mandates a full commission vote to deny any application, aiming to prevent lengthy administrative delays.
The National Association of Broadcasters supports the measure. NAB President Curtis LeGeyt stated that local radio and television broadcasters require predictability when submitting transactions to the FCC. LeGeyt noted that this legislation would provide necessary clarity, allowing local stations to better serve their communities without facing prolonged bureaucratic uncertainty.
