The Hart Media Group assumed ownership of the Miller Media Group platforms this week. Company principals Matt Hart and Randal J. Miller closed on the sale of the Taylorville and Clinton Illinois properties yesterday. Hart paid approximately $1,383,000 for Miller’s six Taylorville-based radio stations and his two in Clinton, along with their online platforms.
Miller will stay on for a year as a consultant, working specifically in advertising sales.
Miller owned the Taylorville properties almost 33 years, and Clinton for 18 years. The sale caps a 43-year run in station ownership — a total of 52 years in the radio business.
