Longtime Central Florida radio personality Jeff Duncan, known to listeners as “Doc Holliday,” passed away on February 9 following a battle with cancer. Holliday was a staple of the Orlando airwaves for over three decades, most notably hosting mornings on WXXL (XL 106.7) for 17 years alongside Johnny Magic.
Holliday’s career began in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before he moved to Orlando in 1990. In addition to his top-rated morning show run, he worked at country station WWKA (K92.3) until 2010. Beyond radio, he served as the arena announcer for the Orlando Predators football team and was an announcer for the Nickelodeon game show Family Double Dare in the early 1990s. In recent years, he mentored new talent as an instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting’s Orlando campus.
