In the recent past, Nielsen has announced that it will be dropping service altogether to several small and medium markets, as well as restricting access to data from larger markets just to advertisers, agencies, and rep firms. Now, Eastlan Ratings has said that it will continue to provide full-market information and new service to markets that Nielsen has abandoned. According to Eastlan president Mike Gould, “Radio audience measurement firms are entrusted with a tremendous responsibility – we are relied upon for neutrality. Whether one subscriber or many, we have a moral obligation to present the entire picture of the market.”
