IHeart app revamp modeled on car radios.

iHeartMedia has launched a major redesign of its iHeartRadio app, introducing features that replicate the car radio experience while leveraging digital innovation. The app now includes custom presets for up to 15 favorite stations, playlists, podcasts, and artist channels. A new scan button allows users to browse stations nationwide by city or genre, while a live radio dial mimics traditional radio tuning. Additional features include real-time updates on trending content, on-screen lyrics for live radio and playlists, and exclusive content like artist news and interviews. The app also supports one-tap contest entries. iHeart CEO Bob Pittman emphasized the app’s blend of car radio simplicity with streaming technology, delivering an intuitive and familiar experience. Conal Byrne, CEO of iHeart Digital Audio Group, highlighted its ability to foster discovery and connection akin to live car radio. Rolling out to Android and iOS, the redesigned app will be fully available by December 17.
