The Massachusetts Broadcasters Association celebrated its 70th anniversary at the Sound Bites conference, honoring broadcasting excellence. Retired Red Sox announcer Joe Castiglione received the Broadcaster of the Year Award after a 42-season career, while NAB President Curtis LeGeyt earned the Broadcast Champion Award for his advocacy work in Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by Candy O’Terry, featured educational seminars, networking, and the annual Sound Bites Awards. Stations of the Year included Mix 104.1 (WWBX) and WCVB Channel 5, with highlights like 97.7 ACK-FM’s PSA on bike safety and Rock 102’s Mayflower Marathon Food Drive winning special recognition.
