The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) turned The Plaza into a star-studded venue last night for its annual gala, which successfully raised funds for industry professionals in need. Nearly 300 leaders and personalities from radio and television gathered to celebrate while supporting a charitable cause. Notable figures in attendance included television stars, film actors, and legendary media voices like David Lasher, Christine Taylor, Michael Kay, Jodi Applegate, Scott Shannon, Deborah Norville, Arthur Aidala, Kevin Frazier, and Willie Geist.
The event honored distinguished industry individuals, including Stephen A. Smith, who received the first-ever Broadcast Personality of the Year Award; Ernest A. Liebre with the Philip J. Lombardo Spirit Award; Mark Lazarus with the BFOA Golden Mic Award; and Judge Judy Sheindlin with the Edward F. McLaughlin Lifetime Achievement Award. FOX 5’s Natasha Verma hosted the program, celebrating both excellence and solidarity within the broadcasting community. Proceeds will assist broadcasters facing severe hardship.
