The 2025 Radio Mercury Awards extend call for radio’s best creative.

The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) has extended the submission deadline for the 2025 Radio Mercury Awards, which honor outstanding creative work in radio and audio advertising. Originally set for April 1, the deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 15, allowing more time for participants to submit their entries across 19 categories.

This year’s competition includes several new categories reflecting the evolving media landscape, such as “Single Streaming Spot,” “Streaming Campaign,” “Use of Directing in a Single Broadcast Radio Spot,” and “Innovative Use of Broadcast Radio or Digital Audio.” The awards also introduce a category for “Single Spot Airing on a Podcast.” Chief Judge Chad Broude, co-founder and co-chief creative officer of Highdive Advertising, worked alongside the Radio Mercury Awards advisory council and RAB’s Board of Directors to develop these additions.

Returning favorites like “Use of Humor in a Single Broadcast Radio Spot” and “Broadcast Radio Campaign” remain key components of the competition. All entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges, with finalists announced in May. Winners will be honored during a live ceremony at Sony Hall in New York City on Thursday, June 5.

“The evolution of radio and digital audio has led to incredible innovation in advertising,” said Broude. “These new categories recognize the creativity and impact of today’s audio storytelling.”

The competition culminates in the highly coveted Best of Show award, celebrating the year’s most exceptional work in radio advertising. More details, including submission guidelines, are available on the Radio Mercury Awards website.
