SEC proposes rule allowing semiannual reporting flexibility.

The regulatory body introduced formal rule and form amendments that would allow publicly traded companies the option to substitute traditional quarterly financial reports with a streamlined semiannual disclosure structure.

According to the administrative proposal issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission, eligible public corporations could utilize a newly designed Form 10-S to file one semiannual statement alongside one comprehensive annual report per fiscal year. This optional corporate reporting schedule effectively cuts required public financial disclosures in half, potentially extending the operational visibility gap for media sector investors by six full months.
