Radio Mercury Awards name 2025 finalists.

The finalists for the 2025 Radio Mercury Awards have been announced, showcasing the top creative audio work from agencies, brands, production companies, radio stations, and students across the country. A total of 107 audio spots and campaigns made the final round, reflecting a broad mix of regional and national advertising talent. Leading the field this year are standout entries from Arnold Worldwide, Murder Hornet, iHeartMedia Studio55, and Zimmer Communications.

The campaigns span a wide variety of industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, retail, restaurants, telecommunications, and nonprofits. Judges praised the simplicity and clarity of great radio advertising, which cuts through with strong writing, sound design, and storytelling. Chief judge Chad Broude of Highdive Advertising emphasized the power of radio to communicate ideas without overcomplication. He noted that success in this format hinges on the immediate reaction of listeners: “You play the spot, and the room is either impressed or not.”

Mike Hulvey, president and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau, echoed that sentiment, adding that this year’s final judges approached their work with deep thoughtfulness. The final jury included creative leaders from Ogilvy, VML, Droga5, Deutsch, Bandits & Friends, and other major agencies, alongside respected audio creatives.

Among the many finalists are national brands like Progressive Insurance, Amazon, AT&T, and Jersey Mike’s, alongside regional campaigns from police departments, local businesses, and nonprofits. iHeartMedia Studio55 landed numerous finalist spots for Boost Mobile, Big Snow, and Renter’s Warehouse. Zimmer Communications also secured several finalist nods with campaigns for Steve’s Pest Control and Ultimate Steel.

The competition also recognizes excellence in categories like student-produced radio, use of humor, original music, sound design, and Spanish-language advertising. Creative entries came from schools including the Denver Ad School, Miami Ad School, and the University of Texas at Arlington.

Sponsors for the 2025 event include major media groups like Hubbard Radio, Cumulus Media, Beasley Media Group, Audacy, and iHeartMedia, along with technology and measurement firms like Triton Digital and Nielsen.

Winners of the 2025 Radio Mercury Awards will be revealed on Thursday, June 5, at SONY Hall in New York City. More details and the full list of finalists are available at www.radiomercuryawards.com.
