RAB webinar showcases Xperi in-car radio analytics.

The RAB is preparing a new webinar to showcase what it calls a “first-of-its-kind” audience measurement system built on Xperi’s DTS AutoStage platform, promising tools that could dramatically change how broadcasters document in-car listening and prove value to advertisers.

On November 1, Xperi rolled out major enhancements to the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal, expanding audience analytics coverage to 250 US markets. Now active in more than 12 million vehicles, the system delivers near-real-time listening data, geographic heat maps, and trend tracking by market, daypart, and station, giving programmers and sellers a detailed view of what’s happening on the dashboard.

The RAB points to third-party research to underscore why in-car measurement matters. According to MRI Simmons, 80% of US consumers are reached daily by in-vehicle AM/FM radio. Separate findings from Edison Research indicate that half of all AM/FM listening among adults 25–54 takes place in the car, reinforcing the vehicle’s central role in broadcast radio’s ad-supported audience.

Xperi Senior Director of Broadcast Strategy and Business Development Juan Galdamez will walk broadcasters through the new capabilities and use cases during a live RAB webinar on Friday, December 12, at 1p ET. Registration is currently open through the RAB website.

Framing the initiative as a breakthrough for sales narratives and agency conversations, the RAB says the updated DTS AutoStage toolset “represents a major leap in proving radio’s real-time, in-vehicle performance,” giving stations and groups the ability to align their value story more closely with how listeners actually use AM/FM in connected cars.
