The Radio Advertising Bureau has appointed Sabina Widmann executive vice president, placing her in charge of member engagement and success, broadcaster initiatives, expanded member services and broader offerings as the organization adjusts resources to meet radio’s changing needs.
Widmann brings more than 20 years of experience in radio, media sales, multicultural marketing and business development, with expertise in helping brands reach Latino audiences through audio and media strategies. She previously held leadership roles at TelevisaUnivision, where she developed integrated marketing solutions across broadcast, digital and audio platforms while gaining insight into Latino consumer behavior and market dynamics.
Her career includes close work with broadcasters and advertisers in local markets, developing revenue opportunities, strengthening client relationships and helping stations respond to changing audience and advertiser expectations. Her experience across broadcast radio, digital audio and multicultural marketing has also given her operational and business insight into challenges facing local broadcasters.
As RAB continues repositioning itself to serve members and the shifting needs of broadcast radio, the organization is consolidating responsibilities to provide expanded resources, stronger support, greater visibility and increased engagement for members. Widmann’s appointment reflects that focus on member value, professional development and industry support.
“Sabina’s leadership experience, industry knowledge and understanding of broadcasters and the local communities which they serve make her an outstanding addition to the RAB team,” said Mike Hulvey, president and chief executive officer of RAB. “Her passion for helping media organizations grow and evolve will further strengthen the support, education and resources RAB provides to its members.”
Widmann has also served on executive committees for RAB and the Southern California Broadcasters Association, and was co-chair of RAB’s multicultural committee.
“I’m excited to join RAB during such an important time for the industry,” Widmann said. “Radio and audio continue to play a vital role for our communities and advertisers. I look forward to working with RAB’s members and team to help provide meaningful resources, education and support that help broadcasters navigate continued change and growth.”
