Operating “La Bakana,” a Dominican-focused Hispanic station on 90.1 MHz in Hazleton, PA, Gonzalez was traced by FCC Field Agents in June 2022. Investigations revealed two more transmission sites, including one at a supermarket where the owner unknowingly advertised. The FCC linked Gonzalez to the station through online presence as “Super Dany.” Enforcement under the PIRATE Act targets unauthorized radio operations, emphasizing FCC’s crackdown on pirate broadcasters, as seen with recent fines in Miami.
