A shift in the 50-plus demographic is creating new opportunities for community-focused radio advertisers. Research released this week indicates that as AI-generated and automated content becomes more prevalent online, many older adults are returning to local “brick-and-mortar” media for accountability. Mike Hulvey, the CEO of the RAB, noted that broadcast radio remains a highly effective tool for brands to reach Baby Boomers and Gen X because of the inherent trust established by real, local voices.
