New features help stations celebrate America’s 250th.

As America approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, radio stations now have access to two new market-exclusive short-form feature series designed to engage listeners, attract sponsors, and help communities celebrate our nation’s history.

Independence Day Minutes and American Firsts are now being offered to stations nationwide on a market-exclusive basis. Independence Day Minutes consists of twenty 60-second features profiling the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Timed to coincide with America’s 250th birthday celebration, the series brings listeners face-to-face with the merchants, farmers, lawyers, ministers, educators, and statesmen whose courage and conviction helped create a new nation. The features can be sponsored locally and are suitable for virtually any station format.

American Firsts is a series of fifteen 30-second features spotlighting the inventions, achievements, discoveries, and milestones that originated in the United States—from the first National Park and transcontinental railroad to breakthroughs in communication, transportation, and technology. Free demos for pre-selling are available for both series, which are ready for immediate broadcast and licensed on a market-exclusive basis.

“Stations are looking for programming that serves listeners while creating revenue opportunities,” said Schwartz. “These features provide meaningful content tied to America’s 250th anniversary while giving stations a unique opportunity to create sponsorship revenue around an event of national significance.”
