The 2025 NAB Show New York is set to return to the Javits Center on October 22 and 23, with an expanded slate of radio and media-focused programming. Following the announcement that the Marconi Awards will be repositioned as a standalone kickoff event, NAB has now revealed additional details that spotlight new content tracks and engagement opportunities for radio professionals.
October 22 will serve as Broadcast Day, with programming centered on both radio and television. A major addition this year is the debut of the Future of Journalism Symposium, addressing topics like AI and automation in newsrooms, hybrid funding models, and the rise of niche and independent outlets. The Sports Track will return with expanded panels featuring broadcasters, league representatives, content creators, and tech developers exploring innovations in live sports coverage and streaming distribution.
October 23 will shift focus toward digital creators and emerging media strategies. The day will begin with a keynote fireside chat featuring Alessandra Catanese, CEO of digital comedy brand Smosh. She will share insights on how creators can monetize fan engagement through exclusive content, social platforms, and direct-to-audience distribution. The discussion reflects a broader emphasis on community-building and cross-platform brand expansion.
Throughout both days, attendees can engage with a variety of conference tracks, including the Radio + Podcast Interactive Forum, which will explore convergence strategies, audience targeting, and monetization models. Other featured tracks include Local TV Strategies and Post/Production World New York, hosted in partnership with Future Media Conferences, offering hands-on workshops and production tutorials.
Ahead of the main conference, the 2025 NAB Marconi Radio Awards will be held on the evening of October 21 at the Edison Ballroom. The Marconis, long considered one of the industry’s most prestigious honors, recognize excellence across major broadcast categories and will serve as the ceremonial start to the week’s events.
Organized in part by the NAB Leadership Foundation, the conference will also host a Career Fair, giving students and early-career professionals a chance to connect with employers and recruiters from across the broadcast and digital media industries.
Registration for NAB Show New York 2025 opens in late July, with full schedules and speaker lineups to be announced in the weeks ahead.
