Longtime Ohio morning host passes away.

The radio community in the Mahoning Valley is mourning the loss of Doug James, a fixture of morning radio in Youngstown and Warren, Ohio, for over three decades. James, who co-hosted the morning show on K-105 (WQXK) alongside MaryAnn Graff since 1991, died on Thursday after a brief illness, with the station confirming the news yesterday.

James was 71 years old. His career at the Cumulus Media-owned country station made him a household name in the region, where he was known not just for his longevity on-air but for his deep involvement in local charities, particularly St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His passing marks the end of an era for one of the longest-running morning teams in the market.
