RAB announced that Liberty Mutual Insurance will receive the 2026 Radio Marketer of the Year award during the 35th annual Radio Mercury Awards on June 3 at SONY Hall in New York City.
The annual honor recognizes brands demonstrating leadership, innovation and effectiveness through strategic use of radio and audio advertising to build brand equity, connect with audiences and drive business results.
Liberty Mutual was cited for creating one of advertising’s most recognizable sonic brand assets with its “Liberty, Liberty, Liberty” audio signature. RAB said the campaign delivers “consistency, memorability and emotional resonance” across broadcast radio, streaming audio, podcasts and connected audio platforms.
RAB also praised the company’s integrated audio strategy, describing its use of radio as a lead medium while extending creative messaging across multiple platforms to deepen engagement and strengthen consumer trust.
Mike Hulvey, president and chief executive officer of RAB and chair of the Radio Creative Fund, said, “Liberty Mutual exemplifies what today’s most effective marketers understand — that audio is one of the most powerful ways to create connection, build trust and drive action.”
Hulvey added, “From its unmistakable sonic branding to its strategic commitment across radio, streaming and podcasts, Liberty Mutual has built a brand voice that is instantly known and highly effective. Their thoughtful use of radio at scale makes them a deserving recipient of this year’s Radio Marketer of the Year.”
Jenna Lebel, chief marketing officer for U.S. retail markets at Liberty Mutual, said, “Audio has been a powerful part of how we build a brand that is distinctive and memorable, and how we drive recognition and trust with consumers. This honor reflects the tireless work of our team and partners.”
The 2026 Radio Mercury Awards marks the competition’s 35th anniversary. Produced by RAB and governed by the Radio Creative Fund, the event recognizes creative excellence in radio and audio advertising.
