Invest in broadcasters!

The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFoA) has launched its annual Year-End Giving Campaign, encouraging donations to aid broadcasting professionals facing hardship due to illness or disasters. Individual contributions go to the Guardian Fund, while corporate donations support the Angel Initiative. These funds provide both monthly and emergency financial assistance. Since 2007, BFoA’s grants have grown from $400,000 annually to nearly $2 million in 2024, reflecting increased needs within the industry. BFoA President Tim McCarthy emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to helping both active and retired broadcasters during times of severe illness or disaster. Chairman Scott Herman noted a growing demand for aid, especially after recent hurricanes, highlighting the Foundation’s role as a lifeline. BFoA urges everyone in broadcasting to consider contributing to support colleagues in crisis. Donations can be made via the BFoA website, http://broadcastersfoundation.org/.
