Ernest A. Liebre to receive BFOA Spirit Award.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced that Ernest A. Liebre, Senior Vice President and Institutional Financial Advisor at CAPTRUST, is the recipient of the Philip J. Lombardo Spirit Award. Named in honor of the foundation’s former long-time Chairman, the award recognizes Liebre’s long-standing support of the organization, particularly his role in advising the charity on its investments for over 20 years.

Liebre has spent the last 14 years at CAPTRUST acting as an advisor to institutions and nonprofit organizations. His roster of broadcast-related clients includes the National Association of Broadcasters, Beasley Media Group, New York State Broadcasters Association, Television Bureau of Advertising, and the International Radio & Television Society Foundation.

Scott Herman, Chair of the BFOA, noted that Ernest exemplifies the values at the heart of the foundation, specifically generosity, leadership, and a commitment to helping others. Herman added that Liebre’s dedication to the mission and support of the broadcasting community make him a deserving recipient.

In accepting the honor, Liebre stated he was deeply honored to receive the award. He described the charity’s work supporting members of the broadcasting community during times of need as inspiring and expressed gratitude for being associated with a mission reflecting compassion and service to colleagues.
