Entravision expands AI radio show.

Following audience growth in Los Angeles, Entravision has rolled out its human and artificial intelligence morning show, GeeGee & Coyotec, to five new markets across its Fuego Network. The expansion, which has recently drawn national media coverage from NBC News, pushes the bilingual program into Sacramento, Las Vegas, Modesto, Palm Springs, and McAllen.

The program, originally branded as Al Aire y Sin Permiso (Live and Uncensored) on Jose 97.5 FM in Los Angeles, pairs human host Geraldine “GeeGee” Guzman with Coyotec (meaning “Cyber-Coyote”), a synthetic personality that processes information and identifies cultural trends in real time. To fit the Fuego Network, Entravision has adjusted the format to include a heavier mix of English-language content tailored for bicultural and bilingual listeners.

For commercial radio operators weighing the cost efficiencies of artificial intelligence against the risk of alienating audiences, this multi-market rollout provides a key case study in successfully pairing machine generation with live local talent.

LeaAnna Hernandez, Executive Vice President of AI Strategy at Entravision, has highlighted the unique dynamics of the program. “We intentionally created Coyotec to be our amigo inteligente, a trusted companion that informs, entertains, and connects with listeners,” Hernandez has said. “Their chemistry shows how naturally AI can adapt when paired with great talent, and it’s a powerful reminder that AI isn’t limited to a single language, platform, or audience.”

Guzman has noted the creative freedom of the new bicultural format. “So many of us grew up bouncing between English and Spanish without even thinking twice about it,” she has said. “So getting to bring that same energy to Fuego feels like a blessing honestly, like I finally get to sound like the people who raised me.”
