Connoisseur shifts roles before Alpha merger.

As Connoisseur Media prepares to acquire radio stations from Alpha Media, the company is realigning its leadership to support a smooth transition and future expansion. The changes, set to take effect today (June 9), reflect a strategic focus on continuity, market integration, and long-term growth.

Kristin Okesson, currently Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Connoisseur’s Connecticut cluster, will take on added responsibilities overseeing the company’s Long Island stations. Okesson has decades of experience in suburban New York radio and is well-regarded for her success in driving ratings, building community partnerships, and strengthening advertiser relationships. Her expanded role positions her as a key figure in leading Connoisseur through the integration of the new stations.

David Bevins, Chief Operating Officer of Connoisseur Media, will step away from day-to-day management of the Long Island market, a role he has held for five years. Bevins will now focus on high-level corporate strategy, including the integration of Alpha Media’s properties into the Connoisseur portfolio. His shift underscores the importance of aligning operations and culture across a growing company footprint.

“These leadership changes reflect our confidence in our team and our vision for Connoisseur’s future,” said CEO Jeff Warshaw in a statement. “Kristin and David exemplify the kind of forward-thinking, community-driven leadership that defines our brand. As we grow, we are excited to have their expertise guiding both our legacy markets and new additions.”

The acquisition of Alpha Media’s stations, currently awaiting final regulatory approval, represents a significant milestone for Connoisseur Media. The deal is expected to expand the company’s presence in key suburban and mid-sized markets, reinforcing its strategic focus on regional depth and local market strength.

With an emphasis on leadership continuity and market expertise, Connoisseur’s latest moves are designed to ensure operational readiness ahead of the Alpha integration. The leadership realignment signals the company’s intent to maintain stability during a period of change while positioning itself for continued success in a competitive media landscape.
