The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) has announced its next Media Mixer will take place during Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC) on Thursday, August 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm CT at Austin Marriott Downtown in the Waterloo Foyer. MSBC is a three-day radio industry event that takes place August 7 to August 9.
BFOA Media Mixers celebrate the camaraderie and connection within the broadcasting community. Attendees mix and mingle with peers, on-air talent, and executives. It is the first Media Mixer to take place at MSBC, which attracts radio industry executives, program directors, morning show talent and producers.
“We’re looking forward to our first Media Mixer at Morning Show Boot Camp and thank Don Anthony for supporting our charitable mission of helping broadcasters in acute need,” said Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. “The Broadcasters Foundation is dedicated to helping our colleagues who are in dire need, and with Don’s help, we will reach more broadcasters, increase awareness, and generate more contributions, which will allow us to continue to help our colleagues.”
Don Anthony, Founder and Host of MSBC, stated, “The Broadcasters Foundation is the only charity devoted exclusively to helping broadcasters, and it’s important that we in the industry support the work they do. We cannot allow our colleagues to suffer devastating illnesses alone.”
McCarthy added, “It’s critical that everyone in broadcasting know about the Foundation in case they or someone they know needs and qualifies for assistance. At times of disaster and tragedy, the Broadcasters Foundation is there to give our colleagues a hand up.”

Previous Media Mixers have been held in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, with more planned for cities across the country.
Since launching Media Mixers in 2023, awareness of the Broadcasters Foundation has increased among young professionals in radio and television, which has led to an increase in much-needed donations to continue to provide aid to those in broadcasting whose lives have been upended by debilitating illness or disaster.
