Backstage Country expands into weekly podcast.

The nationally syndicated “Backstage Country” brand is moving deeper into on-demand audio with the launch of “Backstage Country Uncut,” a new weekly podcast debuting May 29 featuring extended artist interviews and expanded conversations drawn from the radio show.

Hosted by country-radio personality Elaina Smith, the podcast will launch with Jordan Davis as its first guest. Future episodes are expected to feature major country artists including Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.

The show is designed to extend the existing “Backstage Country” radio franchise with longer-form interviews that move beyond traditional radio break structure. Executives involved with the launch said the podcast is intended to deepen audience engagement while creating additional advertiser inventory and branded-content opportunities tied to the country format.

Chief Content Officer Justin Chase said the project expands the franchise’s artist-access strategy, while Key Networks COO Dennis Green pointed to podcasting’s continued value as a targeted advertising platform with highly engaged listeners.

Executive Producer John Shomby said the longer format allows artists more room to discuss their careers, music, and personal stories in a less structured environment than terrestrial radio typically permits.

The launch reflects continuing efforts by syndicated radio brands to build parallel podcast products that can generate additional sponsorship revenue and audience reach beyond traditional broadcast distribution.
