Ad study shows AM/FM radio guides dental choices.

A new Katz Radio Group analysis suggests that traditional AM/FM radio is still a powerful way to reach adults weighing specialized dental procedures, with a recent thirty-second commercial testing especially well among people considering implant treatment.

The creative study, fielded in the second quarter of 2025, found that nearly eight in ten respondents are frequent AM/FM listeners, with usage peaking in morning and afternoon drive. According to Katz Radio Group, that pattern gives radio strong access to adults 35 and older who are evaluating dental-implant options for themselves or family members.

Listeners gave the featured spot high marks on basic communication. Most described it as clear and easy to follow, highlighting its concise explanation of what implants are and who might benefit. The research flagged the strongest elements as informative copy, straightforward structure, and a voice performance that listeners labeled friendly, credible, and trustworthy. Overall, 85% of adults rated the ad excellent or good, and 71% reported they were very likely or somewhat likely to consider the advertiser for future care.

The campaign also appears to have nudged audiences toward action. Many respondents said the commercial made them more inclined to look up additional information about implants, including comparative quality, durability over time, and available financing or payment options.

Katz Radio Group said the findings point to several opportunities for creative refinement. Survey participants expressed interest in more detail on affordability and payment plans, how long the full course of treatment typically takes, and concrete patient stories or outcome examples that could make the benefits feel more tangible.

The company concluded that the results reinforce AM/FM radio’s role as a high-reach medium capable of driving consideration in complex medical categories. For dental-implant practices, Katz Radio Group said the study underscores the value of clear, reassuring messaging that helps consumers navigate decisions shaped by cost, procedure steps, and long-term expectations.
