Voice aid from the BFOA.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) has partnered with Dr. Steven M. Zeitels of Harvard Medical School’s Voice Health Institute (VHI) to educate broadcasters about voice care. Dr. Zeitels, a leading expert in laryngeal surgery, aims to raise awareness in the broadcasting community about the importance of voice health. VHI, supported by celebrities like Steven Tyler and Joe Buck, focuses on advancing voice restoration and laryngology. BFOA President Tim McCarthy highlighted the partnership’s value, noting that voice issues can jeopardize broadcasters’ livelihoods. The BFOA has significantly expanded its grant-making efforts, now distributing nearly $2 million annually.
