CBS and Viacom have completed their merger into a company henceforth to be known as ViacomCBS. Viacom CEO Bob Backish, who will serve as president/CEO of the new company, calls the merger “a historic moment that brings together two iconic companies.” Shari Redstone, the daughter of Viacom founder Sumner Redstone, will serve as the non-executive chair of the board of directors.
