The Chairman is in the clear.

The FCC Inspector General’s office has released its findings regarding the alleged bias—or “lack of impartiality” (tomato, tomato)—of Ajit Pai toward Sinclair Broadcasting during the time that the Sinclair-Tribune merger was a thing. The finding: “no evidence, nor even the suggestion, of impropriety, unscrupulous behavior, favoritism towards Sinclair, or lack of impartiality related to the proposed Sinclair-Tribune merger.” The investigation was prompted by allegations made by members of Congress during a series of inquiries nearly a year ago.
