FCC chairman Ajit Pai has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the Sinclair-Tribune merger by the FCC Office of the Inspector General—which office reports to Chairman Pai. The OIG concluded that their investigation “did not reveal evidence that Chairman Pai acted improperly.” A previous investigation by the same office in August resulted in the same finding.
