As you are putting together your Christmas-music playlists, you will be interested in some research from the P1 Media Group. It seems they researched the 40 most-played Christmas songs from the 2017 holiday season, and then had them ranked by a panel of Christmas music radio listeners. The number one Christmas song, and not for the first time, was “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms; in general, the classics came out well ahead of the more contemporary offerings. (Keep in mind that in this context, “classics” include things like “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”)
