Small market radio raises big-market dollars.

A station in Sturgis, MI conducted a radiothon that raised over $165,500 to benefit the St. Joseph County United Way. The 15th annual Super Hits 99.3 WBET Radiothon raised the “record-breaking” sum in 18 hours recently. According to WBET’s Tom Duke, “For a market this small the continued local support of the WBET Radiothon has been nothing short of amazing. It also shows once again the power and connection that local radio can have on its community.”
