Woodward Communications has completed a $4.3 million acquisition of seven Illinois radio stations from Neuhoff Media, expanding its presence in Springfield and Bloomington. The Springfield stations include 104.5 WFMB, Sports Radio 92.3/1450, 99.7 The Mix, 96.7 BOB FM, and Channel 1450, a high school sports digital platform. In Bloomington, Woodward acquired Rock 96.7, NOW 100.7, and BOB FM 97.9. The deal was finalized on October 1, 2024. Woodward’s President and CEO, Tom Woodward, expressed excitement about the acquisition, which enhances their ability to serve communities and customers. Neuhoff Media exited the radio business earlier this year.
