The iconic conservative talk show host lost his battle with lung cancer last week. He started out as a Top 40 DJ in his home state of Missouri. He reinvented himself as a talk personality in the early 80s, and in short order conquered New York City on WABC, dominated syndicated radio, and redefined and reenergized the talk radio format and AM radio as a whole. For the time being, guest hosts will present “best of” snips from Limbaugh’s broadcasts until a permanent replacement is determined.
