Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky called into a radio show on WPKY-AM in Princeton, KY recently to express his support for the AM For Every Vehicle Act, which would require all new cars to come with AM radio reception. Paul said he is a big fan of AM radio and that it is an important forum for open and clear debate. He also questioned whether the government should be subsidizing electric vehicle purchases, given that some EV manufacturers are planning to remove AM radio from their vehicles.
