Cumulus Media-owned network Westwood One is partnering with audio tech provider Super Hi-Fi to offer affiliate stations AI-generated local weather forecasts. The Weathercaster service automates content creation and audio production processes, delivering accurate and timely localized weather reports. Reports, updated three times a day, will be available in various lengths and include national and local sponsorship integration. Super Hi-Fi’s AI technology, along with the National Weather Service data and ChatGPT’s copywriting, ensures accuracy. Super Hi-Fi’s Chief Business Officer, John Bolton, believes this partnership opens opportunities for radio to grow in the digital future using the power of AI.
