While the NAB’s comments about station-ownership caps might be somewhat controversial, a group of 10 radio companies have joined forces to present a united, positive front with regard to the NAB’s position. In what is called “a cross-section of the industry,” the coalition comprises groups large and small, public and private, small- and large-market, included minority-owned and family-owned operations. The group of groups released a statement praising the “months of work by NAB Board members and staff,” and noted that the proposal “had been developed and vetted by a special committee. . .as well as the full Radio Board itself.”
