Edison Research’s latest findings on at-home listening habits reveal a notable shift post-COVID, challenging historical patterns. Traditionally, Mondays had the lowest share of in-home audio consumption, but post-pandemic, they have experienced a remarkable 30% increase, becoming the day with the most significant growth in at-home listening. Share of Ear data, which historically indicated that at-home listening represented about 50% of total audio time, surged to 60% during the pandemic. Despite the return to in-person or hybrid work schedules, recent data indicates a stabilization at 56%, suggesting a lasting impact on listening habits due to the shift to remote work. Notably, while Mondays thrive, mid-week experiences stagnation, with Wednesday showing no growth and minor changes on Thursdays, while Tuesdays and Fridays see a 15% increase.
