This new initiative explores how television stations can use ATSC datacasting to send weather radio audio and data. By doing so, the project aims to build a more secure and redundant path for urgent public safety alerts. It also highlights how traditional broadcasting infrastructure can team up with newer tech to make emergency messaging more reliable.
