A California representative, Tony Cardenas, has introduced a bill to change the name of the Pacoima, California post office to the Ritchie Valens Post Office Building, after the native-son singer who perished in that fateful plane crash the day the music died. The measure passed the US House of Representatives and now goes to the Senate.
