NAB proposes sweeping AI plan.

The National Association of Broadcasters is urging the FCC to create a standardized cybersecurity risk management plan template for broadcasters, focusing on the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The NAB expressed concerns that small and mid-sized broadcasters lack resources and expertise to develop effective cybersecurity plans. In meetings with FCC staff, the NAB emphasized the need for an FCC-provided template to facilitate compliance and enhance EAS security. They also questioned FCC proposals on equipment repair and failure reporting, arguing these may not improve security. Protecting the EAS is crucial, as it is a key element of the AM Radio For Every Vehicle Act.
