NAB opens entries for 41st annual Crystal Radio Awards.

The National Association of Broadcasters has opened submissions for its 41st annual Crystal Radio Awards, recognizing member radio stations for outstanding community service during the year ending September 30, 2026. Stations have until October 31 to submit their entries through the NAB’s online application system.

The awards recognize broadcasters that demonstrate a sustained commitment to serving their communities through public service initiatives, charitable activities, emergency assistance and other local outreach efforts. A panel of judges representing the broadcast industry and community service organizations will review the submissions and select 50 finalists and 10 winners.

The finalists will be announced in February 2027, with the winners receiving national recognition at a ceremony during the NAB State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., on March 2, 2027.

The awards provide stations with an opportunity to document their community involvement and gain industry recognition for their local service efforts. Participating stations must be NAB members and submit details of their community service activities through the My NAB portal. The awards cover initiatives conducted between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026.

For small and independent broadcasters, the submission process also offers an opportunity to organize and showcase community engagement programs that may support relationships with local organizations, advertisers and listeners.
