NAB debuts self-inspection guide.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has unveiled a new Broadcast Station Self-Inspection Guide specifically tailored for AM radio stations. This guide completes a series that already includes similar resources for FM and television stations. Developed in collaboration with the Society of Broadcast Engineers, these guides provide up-to-date standards for self-inspection, helping broadcasters adhere to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. Given that the FCC stopped updating its own self-inspection checklists in 2010, these resources are crucial. They also support contract inspectors participating in the Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program, which streamlines compliance processes. NAB members can access the guides for free, while SBE members can retrieve them directly from the SBE website. Upcoming releases will include guides for low-power and translator stations, further assisting broadcasters in maintaining regulatory compliance.
