The National Music Publishers Association, representing 17 major music publishers, has sued Twitter for $250 million in damages. The lawsuit alleges hundreds of thousands of copyright infringements of approximately 1,700 works. The association claims that Twitter knowingly hosts and streams infringing copies of musical compositions, causing substantial harm to music creators.
