The RIAA is released its revenue report for the first half of this year, reporting that total revenues increased about 5.5%, the increase driven mostly by a 24% increase in paid subscriptions. In fact, streaming made up 85% of all music revenue in the first half of 2020, with physical media a distant second at 7%, followed by downloads at 6%.
