Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) will be offering a free webinar, “AI for Content Creators,” on Wednesday, October 28, at 2 p.m. ET. The virtual session is designed for on-air personalities, producers, programmers and other content creators looking to use artificial intelligence across broadcast, digital, social and podcast platforms. Registration is available HERE.
Meg Dowdy, Regional Content Director + National Contesting Director at Townsquare Media and an MIW Board Member, moderates the 45-minute panel, followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A.
Panelists include Andre Yancey, Brand Manager of 102 JAMS at Audacy; Lauren “Lo” Sessions, Host & Digital Personality at Urban One / KKBQ; and Carolyn McArdle and Cort Johnson, Co-Hosts of The Morning Breeze at iHeartMedia San Francisco.
Yancey leads San Francisco’s 102 JAMS and also serves as Assistant Brand Manager for New York’s 94.7 The Block. Sessions hosts The Lo Show in Houston and is a 2026 CMA Major Market Personality of the Year finalist. McArdle and Johnson host The Morning Breeze on 98.1 The Breeze and bring experience in morning radio, digital engagement and podcasting.
The webinar covers ways AI can help broadcasters brainstorm content, research topics, prepare for interviews, repurpose on-air material for social and digital platforms, create promotional content and streamline repetitive tasks. The panel also addresses using AI while maintaining an authentic voice and identifying where human creativity and judgment remain essential.
“AI is quickly becoming another tool in the content creator’s toolbox, but knowing how to use it effectively while maintaining the authenticity and personality that make great radio compelling is critical,” says Sheila Kirby, Board President of MIW.
Dowdy says the goal is to show broadcasters how AI can help them “move faster, experiment more and get more mileage out of the work they’re already doing,” while supporting creativity rather than replacing it.
