Microsoft is joining the trend of AI music generators with the development of “DeepRapper.” Described as a Transformer-based rap generation system, DeepRapper can model both rhymes and rhythms. This addition complements Microsoft’s existing “Muzic” project, focusing on music understanding and generation using deep learning and artificial intelligence. Other tech giants like Google and Meta (Facebook) have also ventured into AI music generation.
