Following the Tribune lawsuit filed against former sweetheart Sinclair, the letter company has filed a counterclaim. Sinclair President/CEO Chris Ripley said he was “extremely disappointed that the Tribune transaction was terminated.” Ripley also expressed disappointment with Tribune for what he terms “its meritless lawsuit … seeking to capitalize on an unfavorable and unexpected reaction from the Federal Communications Commission.”
