The news in Rush Limbaugh’s ongoing battle with cancer has taken a turn. Unfortunately, as Mr. Limbaugh shared with his audience last week, “We had stopped the growth. It had been reduced, and it had become manageable”—but recently his doctors had seen “some progression of cancer.” He described in some detail a new treatment plan involving another round of chemotherapy. Said Rush to his listeners, “The idea now is to keep it where it is or may be have it reduce again. We’ve shown that that is possible. If it happened once, it can happen again.” Editor’s $0.02: Rush Limbaugh is in the fight of his life, and he has chosen to share his battles with his audience in an unvarnished way. We think that’s a courageous thing to do, and we congratulate him for doing it, and we wish him the best in his fight.
