FCC threatens license revocation.

Daniel Stratemeyer, owner of an Illinois AM and a Missouri FM, faces potential license loss for $24,949.70 in unpaid FCC regulatory fees spanning fiscal years 2010, 2012, and 2013. The FCC demands $13,121.32 for WRIK-AM and $11,828.38 for KZMA, instructing Stratemeyer to pay within 60 days or provide a valid waiver/deferment reason. In case of a hearing, he must bear the burden of proof and cover hearing costs if not prevailing. Late payment incurs a 25% penalty, and additional charges accumulate until full payment. Previously transferred to the Treasury, the debts returned to the FCC for further action. Stratemeyer’s $2,613.03 overpayment, with Treasury fees, can be applied upon his request. Failure to comply may result in license forfeiture.
