The Commission has done away with the requirement that broadcast stations scheduled to file license renewal applications on June 1 air pre-filing notices. The Media Bureau commented that the rule has been proposed to be eliminated anyway, and suspending it will give stations the opportunity to focus more on informing the public about what’s going on with the current pandemic. Stations are still required to air post-filing announcements.
